I just bought an alpine 9860 am/fm/cd/dvd/mp3/wma player.
Does anyone know if the deck will show anything on the screen when in radio or audio cd mode?
I am also gonna get an microvision screen. And would like it to have some use showing radio station and track listings

You can control the H701 directly from that piece, nice choice.

I dunno if you are going to get external display though a screen for display tho..

BTW, you may control Sat radio from it, it has NO FM tuner otherwise...its not a radio.

 

I don't think it will display radio info to your screen...just DVD.

Main great thing about it is direct control of the 701 Processor as Manny said....Thats why I got one

 

According to the owners manual from Alpine's website, it states that AM/FM is available on this unit as well as SAT radio

 

If thats the case, great..

 

Have you installed yours yet?
Does it display anything else besides only in the DVD function?

 

NOt yet...possibly tomorrow if the weather's nice. If not, wherever I get around to it...but I still won't get to really play wiith it together with the 701 for a little time....
