Confused as hell over RCA cables...ugh
Confused as hell over RCA cables...ugh
Alright, this is a ridiculously silly question, but whatever. No other way to learn, right?
Ok, so I have been drooling over some processors, and I have noticed that many of them have 2 inputs...wtf? Where do they plug in the HU out?
And they only have a single output for a subwoofer...
Additionally, amp such as the 2500XXK call for a Y-cable, but I'll be damned if I have seen a 2F1M connector...never a 2F1F setup.
So very, very confused...

What processors?
Not 100 percent sure what you're getting at, but if you tell me the processor and what you're trying to accomplish I think I'd be able to help. I'm pretty well versed on some different processors...
THere's lots of times I wished processors had more than one "input" so I could send signals already split (crossed over) into them, keep them over, yet EQ. Unfortunately, I don't think that's realistic electronically (combining the signals to process, yet "keeping them seperate"....don't know if this is what you're getting at....
Anyway, more specific info....
Processing is king in SQ car audio

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=240-125 ???????????
Ahh thats one I'm not too well versed on. Manny or Don will have more experience with it.
My guess is of course...one set of RCA's from head unit...the Alto does the crossing over from there to the seperate outs...
It's suprising it only has one sub out, though most people run sub(s) in mono anyway...., but couldn't you just take that and split as much as you want with this/these?
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=240-129 into the amps
or if you need to extend it, go male to females, like these...

Ah, nice...never seen those before.
I really hope that there is something out there for the subs...I'd be hella pissed if my dreams of running two Alchemy RXs off a 2500XXK were dashed if I chose to invest more in the FS...

World championships don't lie
Unlimited tuning UP FRONT is the shiznit.
Thous I'll again admit, I have no experience with the alto. I'd ask Manny about the noise issues he had with is alto. Don't know if Don and Manny got that one solved..... Maybe they did????
You need a processor to look pretty?
Unlimited flexibility up front is a beautiful thing to me, but if you think the 701 is ugly, hide it under an amp rack
Just playing with ya....you gotta get what you like I guess. I just recommended the Alpine cause I KNOW functionally, it will work great at a great price.
Though I know this isn't an "alpine board"

And and yes, THIS is prurty...

Yeah I've checked that out. It's definately got some processing power. Especially if you have the laptop to interface with it.
I'll stick with the Alp, though
At least consider it...I'll take 1/3 octave graphic over para. anyday.
But yeah, thats definately a real nice unit!
