Is there a way to see if the subs are blown?

Last year I had replaced my cdplayer in my 04 max two times due to skipping and music only playing on the right speaker. Now i noticed for a long while that theres only music playing from the front and the door speakers not the back. You can't hear anything from the back. Is there a way to check if they are blown, or might it be that the dealership wired the subs wrong after replacing the cd player? Sorry if this sounds stupid. But im trying to get to know cars a little more. Thanks

turn on your stereo and stick you head in the trunk. Youll be able to tell if the subs are workin or not. if you cant hear them gently touch them with your finger if there is any movement at all they are working..

We'll way before I checked the fade, I noticed when it was all the way in the front changing it towards the center for 3 notches does not make a difference. When it is all the way at the rear, You can Hear the fade slowly coming back after 3 notches to the center... sorry if this sounds confusing..

fade you sound into the back and stick your head into the trunk and see if you could hear anything then touch them to feel them movie if that dosent work then play with the wires and see if they make any other sound.

take a 9v battery and and try to "pop" the rear speakers by running a positve and negative off the 9v battery to the positive and negative of the speaker. If they pop you know the speaker voice coils are good.

It sounds like you are not getting any sound to your rear speakers and it is most likely in the wiring somwhere. YOu just have to start tracing it from one side or theother until u find the problem

put a multimeter on the connectors to each speaker...do an ohm check. the reading should read the impedence of the speakers (4 ohm, 2 ohm...whatever they are) if it comes up with nothing, than you have a blown speaker
