Hey guys,

For those who have a 5th gen and a lot of midbass have any of you experienced rattling coming from the driver side door? Specifically from the handle area that you use to close the door. The one with the pocket handle. I took the door trim off and matted the back of it but still get some rattling/virbration. Any ideas?

 

Mine still does it too. I just turn the bass up

I haven't figured out a way to eliminate that damn handle yet. I will let you know if I figure something out.

Sponges between the door and the metal bars that connect the door opener mechanism to the handle

It looks like Second Skin is out of Hazmat. I didn't see any listed on their site. Is the product like a foam or is it similiar to Damplifier?

 

Well, you problem stems from vibration, in which case a mass barrier would be required. Damplifier could be used, so damplifier would be a nice substitution. You would only need about 10 sqft to really weigh the door down.
