as title says, 2000 non-bose (se model if it makes a difference). I'm installing a system in my freinds maxima and we need to know whether or not he needs another deck.

thanks in advance.

it does not have RCA's so you need to either go with a different head unit, or put line-out converters on it

I know the sound quality with the line-out converter will be inferior to an aftermarket deck, but will it be terribly noticable if I'm just running stock speakers and a ID12 sub? Or would you just use the speaker/high level level inputs on the amp instead of RCAs? Thanks.

I personally would never get a line out converter.....unless ofcourse i had a high end car that i wanted to keep as stock as possible.

It's not all that noticable until you actually upgrade to an aftermarket HU. The downside of using your OEM non-bose is, that the 6.5"s will not sound all that great against the added equipment ie sub. If, however, you just add the sub and use the OEM speakers and HU, I don't think you'll notice much in the way of "worse" SQ by using the interface. Maybe just save up for some aftermarket stuff.
