Anyone that has a indash T.V

I have a Navi and I wanted to get a indash tv and I wanted to know if I would still be able use my stock navi, and if not do I need to but that adapter that converts it to a tv?

What about if I got an indash that had navi on it could I take the stock navi out and just use the screen as the aftermarket's navi?

I doubt you could use the screen for that... I don't have navigation, but I think the connectors on the screen are the same -- they're not RCA or VGA or anything, just that stupid square plug.

I suppose you could try to jack into it, but I don't know of anybody that's used their OEM navi screen for anything else, unless they get a bypass like the one I linked to above.

What year is your Max? Your options depend on the Navi system.
Early systems (02 and 03) are part of the Bose stereo and you would have to get custom wiring done internally in the unit. Other years easily can get a harness to feed TV / DVD/ etc. into the Navi and it initated by a switch that goes from Navi to TV/DVD player. I have an 02 with a Fahrenheit DVD/TV tuner attached to it and it works great but you have to get a shop to rewire the circuit board inside for that year. Also, you'll need an interface (FM mod or in-line wiring like I did) for audio.

Great company and great technical know-how.

Word of caution: Unless you are in a large city with serious TV towers everywhere, Your reception will shift in and out if you are moving - even with a 20db power TV antenna (Not that anyone should be moving with the TV or DVD movie going).
