Indash LCD install problem...
Im in the process of installing a Clarion indash LCD with a separate indash dvd player. I gonna continue to use my current Bose speakers so I got a interface for the mean time. I disconnected the car battery, wired up the harnesses, and plugged in the LCD, and hooked up the battery. The unit worked fine for about 5 minutes, then it shut off. Basically the power in the whole car shut off. Maybe a short somewhere, or bad ground?
I unhooked everything and the battery and left the car all night. Went this morning and hooked the batery back up, attempted to start the car, and I hear a click from the engine, and everything shuts down again. I had to unhook the battery amd hook it up again to get power back into the car, but it wont start. Could I have shorted something permanently, that the car wont start, even after taking the system out?
Also, I heard I could ground the brake wire for the LCD to the chassis so it would shut off while driving. Is that true? Thanks

Actually I got the car started again. I puleld and checked all the fuses and they seemed fine. Installed the stock radio and tried starting, but it didnt work. Then I took out the fuse for the radio, and tried starting, and it worked fine. And the stock radio is working fine too. I have a feeling I didnt splice the harness right, or somehow one of the wires got in contect with another. So now im decidign if I should go to the shop and get it installed, or try once again. Thanks for helping though.
