Woofer problem

Woofer problem

I just got a new CD player hooked up

i connected all the wires but my sub woofer plays when the radio is on
when i put a DVD or a cd it dosnt work

theres only 1 femele connecter wire. and i got to male wires.

What CD player is it? Did you use the remote turn on or the power antenna lead for the turn on of the amp. If you used the antenna output that would explain the problem.

You will have 2 wires coming out of the HU

Solid blue is your power antenna, connect that to the solid blue wire on your harness

and blue/white stripe is the remote turn on lead for your amp.

You have the solid blue going to the amp.

Dont worry about the male/female connectors. Just snip them off and connect the correct way. Make sure you tape or crimp cap/butt connector them.

Although it is on Alot, not ALL HUs have the same wiring colors for power antenna and amp turn ons..

That's why they come with manuals.

Those HU companies should DIAF for not adhering to norms.

did you get the problem with the remote/antenna wires straightened out?
