Lets see... if I'm looking at this correctly, nothing but a fan with a electric magnet to change the pitch of the blades. Easy to get 1 hz... just lay the fins close to 90 degress then spin it up really fast.

You know I'd hate to see the electric bill after running that thing for a movie. A TV and DVD player makes your meter spin like crazy already. Imagine running an electric motor that big, that my friends is an industrial AC motor, and draws quite a bit of power.

What's the point? IIRC, the human ear is incapable of detecting sounds below 20hZ.

You're right but I think part of the point is to really FEEL the lil nuances of a movie that a normal home subwoofer *MAY* not be able to reproduce.
