Anyone ever build a HT system?

Ok so I bought a bunch of different home theater drivers off of parts express and im wondering if any of you guys know what I should use to power them.

Here is what I bought

2 of these
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=295-360

6 of these
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=269-708

and 10 of these
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=269-788

The only reason I bought all those tweeter is because they were so cheep. I dont plan on using them all.

I am going to try and build a set of bookshelf's for my room at school I just dont know what to power them with. Any ideas would be helpful!

Unless you plan to biamp them, I would suggest a crosover is the first thing you will need. Also you need to calculate boc volume, and port size. What were you thinking when you bought 10 6X9 plates with tweeters on them? You aren't even using a 6X9 driver? If you ever get them built, any stereo receiver would be able to power them. I would suggest buying either a small Yamaha or Denon stereo receiever. You should have just bought a pair of bookshelf speakers from Ebay or something. It seems like you really have no clue what you are doing, and it probably would have been cheaper in the long run.

I only bought so many tweeters because they were 20 cents. As far as not really knowing anything about HT you are right I dont know much but I want to learn that is why I am doing this. If I were to just go out and but some bookshelf's off ebay I wouldnt have learned anything. Im actually looking at some ribbon tweets right now.

Alright, if you want to learn, please make sure to check for crossover designs for the frequency response that will create a 3db down meeting point for the two drivers that you are going to use. You probably want to design a 3rd order crossover network that will be a 18db per octave slope. Remeber to make sure the rated values for the crossover network are correct for the nominal impedence of the drivers. Nothing will make or break the sound quality like the crossover network. Make sure to design the enclosure to proper specs, and if you really want to do it right, slope the front panel back about 10 degrees for better soundstage, if you are planning to put around head level when seated and listening.

I have it all in training book form from my days working with Orion. I have all the values, and schematics, but you would have to come here to the house to see them. Try searching google for crossover design, and see what you can find. Make sure to have the Thiele Small parameters of the driver and tweeter.
