For those who have experience with led's...
I plan on changing my interior bulbs all to red led's. Right now, I have blue led's for my gauges. But I'm sick of blue. Also, a few of the led's I have had in the past (white, blue) have blown out. One of the blue led's in my gauges in blown out, and the white led I had in my driver side door blew out. Is this a common problem with led's in general? Or is it just bad luck with this particular brand (I forgot what brand, bought them at soundfx)? These are what I planned on getting for the gauges http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/194-I...spagenameZWDVW . Any input as to whether those would last me more than a few months would be appreciated. Because if that's the case, I will just convert back to stock. Thanks.
+1 to above.
I know Irish used 2.0v, 900 mcd, 20 mA LEDs, and I dont think he has had any of these problems. A lot of people here have bought LEDs from the ebay seller cwithk, check him out, hes usually got a ton for sale and is a good guy.

LEDs will blow for only two reasons - leads become crossed OR the resistor is improperly sized...end of story.
Your typical LED should have a Vf of 3.4 - 3.8V with full illumination @ 20mA...apply ohms law, and your resistor value is found.

You're much better off getting a filament-style red 194 bulb...the LED bulbs WILL be spotty and inferior to the filament style bulb as the 194 LED light output will not come to a full peak until about 5" from the source.
