Configuring an amp

I had a 2 channel phoenix gold tantrum amp that died so I bought a new Phoenix gold octane. I was hoping that I could just swap it with the other one and use all existing wires, but it did not work. The amp is running to a JL XR-650 components and crossovers, and then to a alpine 7894 head unit. The original amp was running at 75x2 at 4 ohms stereo. I really don;t know too much about car audio. However I believe the new amp should run at the same thing because the manual says so. Does anyone have any advice to help me get this going? I tried to bring to a few places to have it looked at but they said they had to re run all the wires and install from scratch due to warranty policies, which is completely rediculous.

I believe the part of the amp that went bad is the rca terminal and this was due to the ****s that detailed my car. Is it possible the rca cable is ****ed too? How do you check an rca cable?

Just replace it with a cheap set. So there was really not that much wrong with the other amp and you went and bought another one?

Btw do you still have the old amp? I'll pay shipping if you wanna send it to me. I wouldnt mind having a toy to open and play with.

Does the amp even turn on? If not check all wires and fuses plus check the ground connect, it might of got loose. Also I doubt that the rca's went bad b/c ive used some that have been wet.

for whatever reason the detailers did to your amp that made it not work anymore god only knows. All i can say is was their power on the amp ? If not check your fuse under the hood. Chances are it could be blown. Also check your ground.
