Do I need to run new speaker wires to my doors?

I am replacing the front door speakers in a 98. The new components have a separate crossover. Should I run new wires into the door, to the crossover, and then to the woofer/tweeter. If I need or should run new wires into the door itself, is there any easy way? Thanks alot for any help.

Yes, you have to run new wires to the woofer and tweeter anyway, new wire to the crossover isnt a big deal to do at all

to run it, i used a coat hanger, fished it through the grommet with the factory wiring, tied the speaker wire on and pulled it through. Its a tight fit so it might take a couple of tries

It's a lot easier to use the stock wiring that goes into the door, place crossover in the door and run new wires to the midrange/tweeter drivers.

Are you Bose?

I am non bose and I will be using an amp anyway. I thought I read that the door speakers are wired in parallel. If I use the factory wire then which wire should I use? The woofer or tweeter wire? What do I do with the wire I don't use?
Thank you for the input and any other advice.

I'll be honest to say that I'm not sure if there is a crossover in there or if the woofer and tweeter are both receiving full range signals. Someone with more knowledge, please chime in.

If they ARE full range signal, I'd probably use the woofer wire and just tape/cap off the tweeter wire.
My reasoning for this is just that there are more places to mount the crossover towards the lower portion of the door.

you can see my xover placement prior to sealing the doors off.

I ran all amplifier wires to the rear of the radio and just matched them up with the tweeter and mid wire. Hence why the xover was in the door. It was a full range signal on mine IIRC
