Don...I just realized you're running an Arc XXK2500 to your TWEETS? Got headroom? My midranges and tweets are seeing, umm @30 watts tops. Suprised you wouldn't choose to use the 4150 for the tweets and mids and put a 2500 on the midbasses? Weird...thoughts? reasoning?

Can't wait to hear the Seas setup
Thanks meng...next time you come up you can bring your dog along, no worries- place to crash ...plenty of room

I wanna cover up the holes and move the tweets forward into the sails...it'll help me get the perceived depth past about halfway in the dash where its at now/ I think if i angle them just right (not firing across), but rather a rainbow effect, it wont affect my stage width in the process. Chu had some nice things to say about the Ushers and these new tweets and how they come together, so its comforting i made strides in the trebble dept. The Lotus will add that snap i'm missing from the warmer, thicker sounding Morels....It should turn out for the better.

where is SVR held? I'm down for goin....although i don't think my install will be ready for competition. I'm almost done collecting parts. I just need some 8's and an eq. Then i gotta put the seas performance in kicks. my trunk needs to be finished, but the design is simple so it won't be too hard. but then i need major coin for sound deadening....the doors are dead but the rest of the car needs some sludge poor college student life

Soon to be...just ordered the GXE kit and some new dash pieces for the ac vents and to wrap around the double din and cover the gap in the kit...
I'm a sucker for rare pieces..

Nope just a pure transport...with a tube preamp

Dont worry about the 4way active...I'll get by with my IDX and amp xovers for the meantime until the processor candidate becomes available

I figured it was the tube preamp that sold ya. The SQ is gonna be ridiculous.

Got a link for technical data on the unit?

Thinking about getting it from Randy/Heberw Hammer?

That head unit is HOT and supposedly sounds amazing.

Ummm wouldn't two IDX's work for an active 3 way front? Still leaves you without an EQ (maybe one of the arcs?), but I'd definately wanna stay analog after that thing

SVR is in West Virginia...Chester WV to be exact. It's a "triple point" SQ event which means many big dogs will be there. From what I've heard, this is also the only comp where after they've determined the winners from each class, they put them against each other judged just for sound only. Would never be me, but a few years ago there was supposedly a novice that won his division and went on to kick all the big dogs' butts SQ wise in the overall comp. Wouldn't that be cool?

List of all currently scheduled events.... http://www.iasca.com/events/

Don't know WTF is up with all those events in Oswego NY. Thats pretty far up there....
