Mr. Gone: As for shooting in RAW mode: I know i won't be processing in RAW plus RAW significantly deceases your storage capacity. It's a give and take thing even though with my two 2GB cards I should have plenty. If I do shoot something important then i will switch to it when i need it.

Canon G6

For the money (less than $600). you can't beat the G6 - Not an SLR but great 7.1 MP camera.

The best site I've found to compare cameras, including the actual pictures taken with each of them, has been is http://www.steves-digicams.com.

I might be buying

this
http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/con...&modelid=11922

and this
http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/con...1&modelid=7301

The next few days, I hope (depending on their condition and if the guy still has them).

Hopefully the 70-300 F/4-5.6 IS USM will keep me happy and away from the white . The 20mm F/2.8 USM I'll have to see how it goes. I'm not really looking for primes yet but this one is pretty wide and fast, if it does well with room shots I'll go for it . Maybe some day I'll be able to use it and trade up for the 15mm F/2.8 Fisheye I have no idea why I want so bad .

good starter lens. I really learned to appreciate its sharpness after using a bad copy of a sigma 12-24 on a recent trip overseas. That said, I really want the EF-S 10-22 as a next lens. Than maybe the 85 1.8 or 70-200 IS ( yeah, big difference, I know :P)

I've been considering the 10-22mm and go back and forth

in the long, long run it would be replaced with a 16-35mm F/2.8L and a full frame

Things aren't looking so hot with those lenses I posted above sucks, I was looking forward to them too

If I can make time, I may go and shoot at the drag strip Sunday.

only $20 to rent a 70-200 F/2.8L
too bad that store is 20-25mins away and I really wanted to try the 70-200 F/2.8L IS, well and 200mm will probably be too short anyway . Could rent a 2x teleconverter for $10 though

I speak mainly of DIY tweets on PE. I don't stay classy with this rainbow stuff yet...but convince me that soundlines own these AA and I might like the rainbows.

I just dont like the sound of them from a midbass. Just more forced, rather than natural.
