Hmmm, which subwoofer?

I have a spare box and amp laying around, and I'm thinking of doing a temporary setup in my Maxima. I'm just not sure which subwoofer I want to get.

The amp is my old Memphis M-Class D, 500x1 @ 2ohms. The amp has shown it is 1 ohm stable, but I would rather keep the sub in the 2 ohm range.

So I have narrowed it down to 3 choices.

- Adire Brahma 12D4
http://www.adireaudio.com/Mobile/BrahmaSeries.htm

- Sound Splinter RL-p12 D4
http://www.soundsplinter.com/rlp_pre...subwoofer.html

-Memphis M1 DVC
http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/produ...at=&id=166&p=2

2 are quite close in price, with the Brahma being the most expensive around $420. I'm leaning towards the Memphis because the box it will be going into for now is a Audio Enhancers single sealed.

We all know your gonna get the Memphis.

Wheres the None of the above option? If your looking at a $420 brahma in the first place, you could do a lot better than any of those on that budget. Just my .02. But we all know Im not a nutswinger who lives and dies by the forums like most people who follow Adire and SS.

Well the M1 has the easy capability to repair if needed. The motor assembly is easily unbolted. I don't plan on running them that hard, so it's an option that I really don't need.

I've looked through most of the other brands out there. I'm actually thinking of the SS now. But I'm going to go next weekend to take a look a closer look at the M1. Luckily I know the owner of Mobile FX really well, so I get to play around with all the goodies in the shop.

Plus with their display setup, I can easily compare them to the M-Class.

Not sure on the memphis yet, I have to go listen to them first. Plus I finally found the specs on my box and going to compare to the required specs for both subs.

Memphis, 1 sub sealed, 0.8-1.00 cu.ft.

Sound Splinter 0.75-1.75 cu.ft.

Damn... that didn't help the decision any, the box is 1.34 cu.ft.

Oh ohhh.... Don's here

SP is 2 ohm DVC Don... and when wired will give me 1 ohm, or 4 ohms. I'm looking for 2 ohms. The UR will give me that with it's 4 ohm DVC.

then go FL.

Why not go 4Ohm? With efficency like the SP has, you wont need much power to get it going....

How is that? You asked a question...

Did you not? I simply answered it and gave you more info.
You even played along...

So how were my posts running you around? You didnt get a price answer, due to the fact that I stated they are no longer. I was giving you other options. So please point out where my posts were irrelevant.

The box size is a match for the SS, but it's also a nice match for the M1, a bigger box than recommended will give me some deeper bass.

THIS... IS not a DAMN answer, it is a run around. This was the very first post you gave me after I asked the price question. As you can see, no where in that entire post is there a answer to my question, not even a "it's not available anymore." It took you almost another 4 posts to even mention that.

As far as I'm considered Don, you can on this topic.

Actually it was answer, I posted it almost 4 posts later due to the fact that I didnt realize I didnt answer you to begin with. Of the three posts they were within a minute or two of each other. Next time I promise Ill go back and edit instead of reposting. Didnt realize if its not in the same post # then its not answer to you. Sorry Ben, I check my posts before I reply in your threads again.

As far YOUR post, your the one that jumped the gun. I suggested a FL or SP, then you reply with...how much is the UR. WTF is that if its not a runaround game??

You are correct in one point though, it was your last post in this thread.
