Anyone have either of the following and willing to let me hear them?

Or anything similar...

I had the SLC 265s...very nice speaker set. Not a single complaint in the world with them, I just decided to upgrade with a 3-way setup.

Listened to djfreestyle's setup today. Thanks again, man. I still can't remember where I know you from though
One of my friends actually has the CDT CL-61s so I'll listen to them soon. Anyone have the HD-62s in this area?

I just remembered that I've heard the CDT's powered by an elemental designs amp.

from what I remember about the CDT's, I would pick the rainbows, but you have to take into consideration that the CDT's were TERRIBLY installed by a local CC. When I pulled off the door panel to assess a problem, the crossover was sitting in a small puddle of water.

The tweeter was clean, maybe SLIGHTLY harsh- the rainbows are warmer

me too. I own the cl 61's for now and I have heard soundlines and contours and I take both over the CDT's. mind you the rainbows have excellent door deadening and I basically have none.

I liked them, but I'd also like to hear others in that price range and also in the $300 range. He mentioned that the Germaniums are around there, so I'll try to listen to those as well.

I'll try to listen to the CLs in the next few days or over the weekend, so I'll report back. However, I know that my friend's doors aren't deadened and Nilesh's were.

Also bear in mind Nilesh has the older Soundlines, not the current models which have a few changes.

Lol which Nilesh did you meet up with cause I certainly didn't say that

Steve, I was wrong about the price. With all the talk about the germs and how great they are, I never got the definite price of them and just started assuming. Check your IM.
