Hello,
Does anyone have an XM (or Sirius) portable radio in thier 4th Gen?? I just got the MyFi because of the internal antenna so I could bypass installing the external one...that's crap and now I have to install the antenna. I was wondering if I had any options besides on the roof (ugly) or on the trunk. I really hate anything that doesn't look stock so if I can hide it I would. I may try to go through the sunroof and put the antenna under the wind visor. Has anyone done this before? And is there a way to mount the adapters and stuff so that wires aren't hanging out every where? Sorry if this is a repeat post but I can't search. Pictures of any antenna installs would be ideal but I'd settle for anyting at this point.

You can just place it on the dash with double sided tape. I place my GPS antenna on the glass above the inside mirror.

 

run it onto the rear deck, or by the glass like already said..

I had mine like that for a while, the only thing that sucks is the reception really gets a lot worse when it's not outside the car. Just run it to the back of the roof, they're getting small enough that you don't notice

 

Thanks, yeah, I'm thinking of putting it on the trunk right by the window...that way I don't have to screw with the weather stripping. I might try to find a way to put it under the spoiler or something...you are right though...the one I have is pretty small...about the size of a silver dollar. I just need to figure out a way to mount the receiver on my dash without it looking like crap.
