Can't wait for spring break
Spring break starts march 17th for me. I go back the 27th. I'm also off from work that week I plan on using that time to finish my install that i havent had time or money to finish. heres what i'm doin(weather permitting):
1) My Seas Lotus Performance set is goin in kicks. This will allow me to put 8's in the doors. I won't be putting the 8's in on spring break because i dont have funds for them, but the wires will be there and the doors are already dead as hell, meaning i just drop them in.
2) Replace torsion bars in trunk with struts. i already removed the bars to design the new box. All I gotta do is get the struts and install them.
3) Install new box. The new box has been done for a while but I didn't install it cuz i need those struts. New box is front firing. I have some spacers to install to keep the sub from slapping the seats.
4) Seal off cabin from trunk. Box is front firing, so this is a must. This is already half way done. I just gotta do the rear deck and finish it all off with some expanding foam.
5) New floor. I may have to redesign my floor. Shouldn't be too much of a hassle, the old one took me 10 minutes.
6) New amp rack. As of right now I want to build a vertial wall wrapped in black vinyl. The three monitor1 amps will be mounted on ccl lit prexi with the illusion it is floating. Xover and distro will be mounted in the wall, but out of the way. this is a very simple design and doesnt take crazy amounts of time to pull off. My only concern is if the plexi isn't the right price, I will ahve to construct a temporay basic amp rack instead and do the floaty thing later. I have to have the plexi cut to shape and beveled and such, so it might be pricey.
7) Sound Deadening. The doors are dead, but the rest of the car needs some work. once i find where the rattles are from the new box i can't snuff them out easily. I'm not goin all out like metal did, although I'd like to! i hvae some left over deadener and will purchase some foam from walmart. this is just to kill rattles. I will completely kill the car later.
8) New wiring. Goin active, so I gotta run 2 more sets of wires up front. got some relays and such to hook up. Also gotta find a better grounding point. If anyone has any ideas...
9) Big 3. I still havent done this I also have some new battery terminals to get on.
I dunno if i will get it all done, but I'm gonna try. As long as it doesnt rain, I think i can make it.

Nice sounds like your going to have a busy break!
I plan on doing a few things:
Running wires for active setup
Installing my CD7000 (if it comes in by then)
Building a false floor and amp rack
Should be fun!!!
