recommend me an amp guys

ok tax returns should be here any time now, and i need an amp for my 12" Titanium. I've been bass-less for months now.. Don never got back to me in that other thread started be maxmale (i should have just PMed him i guess)... but its ok i want a bunch of opinions anyway. i was debating a beefy soundstream.. or the ED Nine.1 or maybe an xtant. my budget is around 3-350 (like to stay lower of course unless its a steal).. i want it to be around a 1000 watts.

single 12" Eclipse Titanium DVC 4 ohm.

thanks!

for that price that is tough. I just bought 2 ARCs. I would say the ARC you could look at the KAR line from ARC that may be cheaper. KAR 1000.2d Elipse amps are not bad for the money. Anyone else have other thoughts.

anything by eclipse, diamond audio, DLS, Focal, or Rainbow. Those are the best names in car audio.

My message said it was a little before 11:00. You checked it somewhere around 12:00. 12 hours later, but the timing was still on.

I usually stay out of "what should I buy" threads, but......

I'm glad you cleared that up. Arc/DLS makes great stuff, Eclipse makes nice functioning HU's especially for the money (donno about their other stuff really). I'm sure rainbow stuff is awesome as well as pretty much everything Don sells. This board is lucky to have a real dealer that has real stuff at competitive prices, but that doesn't mean that those are the only good brands out there, which it seems like sometimes on this forum.

Look into the MB Quart amps at ikesound. Reviews have them putting out lotsa clean power and they're affordably priced. The Arc Kar series is also a good recommendation. If you're OK w/ class D (I'm not, but many are) look into JBL BP amps which are affordably priced and have a good rep.

Are you OK w/ used? Maybe I'm the only one that hasn't gotten screwed over buying used from reputable people on the forums? That brings up plenty more options that you could afford.

I've never gotten to do a direct comparison swap one after another, but too many people that have have noticed a difference in SQ. May not be audible if the rest of the system isn't up to snuff, but if it's hearable to many people, I stick to the side of caution and stick with A/B.

How much power do i need for a single woofer??
caouse i was going to get a Zapco 500.1 and JL Audio 12W6v2.
Is the Zapco amp going to do the job or is it weak, or too much power for the JL Audio 12W6v2??
