Sub + Amp wiring...

Alright guys quick question... If i got a pair (2) of subs that are 4 OHM DVC.. what would be the best amp to hook them up to? An amp that's 2 ohm stable? or an amp that's 1 ohm stable?

thanks in advance!

wired in parallel 2 dvc 4 subs=1 ohm load. therefore, you need power at 1 ohms.

well I need an amp that can push roughly 2000W RMS @ 1ohm and the T20001BD from rockford seems to fit my bill nicely... unfortunately the cheapest I've seen them go for is on E-bay for like $800 U.S. =\

If you can offer up an amp that can push 2000W RMS @ 1ohm for a lower price... you'll be my new best friend

maybe try looking at strapable amps, or one amp per sub. You would save alot of money if you did it that way, alittle more wiring, but not bad.

I actually did think about doing it that way but it didn't seem like I'd save anything... cause then i'd need 1000W RMS @ 2ohms (right?) and amps in that range go for about $450 U.S. or so...

or is there something i'm missing? lol

I think a 1500 watt amp would do you well. PM pearl96max for an AUTHORIZED amp at a great price.
