newbie to car-audio

You know how I do....

newbie to car-audio

my cousin gave me an mtx subwoofer, i have alpine speakers, polk tweeters, and a jvc headunit...i believe the subwoofer is 300 watts, i have to ask him again. Can i just get any of amp to hook my sub up, or what do i need.

if its a 300 watt max...then yeah..just dont go extremely cheap..i recomend either a xtreme 300 watt amp=$100..or just a alpine amp...theyre cheap and they could push that sub well.

its just something to power those mtx's..
first of all mtx isnt anything worth while looking at.. so and entry level amp could do the job of powering that sub...and yes 100 bucks..
m.a.p for xtreme 300 watt 2 channel is 100...

lol ill upgrade my sound system eventually...just dont have the money right now, anyways im more into sound quality then loudness so ill probably never get a real powerful system.

more power=better SQ in some circumstances.

if you wanted to stay inexpensive I would pick up one of these used amps from somebody. You can prolly get a much better amp that is still in decent condition
