ok, started on box last night, just have to cut the end pieces and lay some caulk to her. I'll have some pics a little later......

oh, one question. Should I use channel 1 and 2 for both my mids and tweets and bridge 3,4 and 5 channels? I would like the extra power but I'm not sure how the tweets and mids would sound running on the same channel, I'm thinking the tweets would be too loud. I guess I'll just have to try it and see. I'll prolly go with some components if it doesn't sound good. anyway, I'll be back......

I don't think you can bridge 3 channels.

1 and 2 to tweets
3 and 4 to mids
5 to sub.

This of course is only my suggestion. My logic: the amp is stable to 0.5 ohm. Get a Dual 2ohm sub, wire it down to 1, and go from there. Should be plenty of power.

actually, I am pretty sure you can bridge the 3 and 4 channels with the sub channel, and I'm pretty sure you can bridge all the channels together also. I already have the 15" Arc sub and it is a 2 ohm. And I have it wired as you said above I'd just like to get as much power to the sub as I can. It sounds good and it hits hard, I would just like to have more power there for when I really want to feel the bass. Kinda like having nitros I guess.. lol

What are you using for your xover?

That has to be taken into account.

Soundstream 405 has a built in crossover for each channel. You can also bypass it.

I would double check that, do you have the manual for it? I've never heard of any amp that can do 3 channels bridged. Even if you could I wouldn't recommend it. You can get a dual 1 ohm sub and wire it paralleled to the 5th channel to get a .5 ohm load.

you'll have to talk to Don about that, I don know that there is a significant price increase from the 12 to 15" subs though.
