It actually just pops out. If I remember corectly the BOSE name can be read (is right side up, facing you) when you are in the back seat looking toward the rear. Get a flat headed screwdriver and place it under the top edge (the top of the BOSE emblem) and lift up enough to get a finger under the grill. Pull straight up. Doing this under the BOSE emblem will not work due to the plastic pieces the hold the grill to the rear deck. Hope this helps.

It should be mounted behind the trunk carpet...10mm bolts I'd imagine.

Yes sir it is, the question is how the hell do I get under the carpet without tearing it? It may not even be worth it honestly...but I'd like to sell the blose on ebay...even if I dont have an amp

Ther are several clips that hold the carpet in place. Remove them and the carpet will move out of your way.

It sounds REALLY good, I had to have ultimate do the install but they really did a great job. It sounded good enough that they wanted me to put the car out in front of their store next weekend as a "demo" but since I live about 60 miles away and already had plans I told them no :hsd:

Infinity 6.5's in the doors, pioneer 680MP deck, fosgate punch2 (I know you guys think its a piece of ****) and an alpine amp powering the sub at 220watts RMS. I can always pop a new sub in the box later so I went with the cheap one for now.

Wait, do you mean the carpeted rear deck or the carpet that lines the trunk?

To remove the rear deck you have to remove three black trim pieces that are visible when the back seat is folded down. Remove the C-pilars, then you will have access to the rear deck for removal. I am assuming those were the white pointed things you were refering too. The ones that secure the rear deck(partical board) to the actual rear shelf(sheet metal).

For some reason when you said carpet, I assumed you were refering to the trunk liner. I appologize if I understood.

Bose amp is behind the carpet in the trunk, the trunk liners. They have clips that you have to half-unscrew, half-pop

The bose sub (obviously) is under the rear deck, which is clipped to the metal rear deck with white clips, that yes, face downward into the trunk.

Dunno who's confusing who
