120 amp fuse blown.....Help Please

Long story short, drill bit brke hit the amp power wire and it popped the Positive battery terminal fuse on teh battery post itself. I am in a 2005 max.any help would be great. Its not a normal fuse, its almost like its molded into plastic and there are two harnesses that clip into the other end of it..bad details sorry i have never popped thsi before.

Many Thanks,
Chef

I believe this a ANL fuse, i know you can order them from crutchfield.com for about $15 a piece... they have 100-300amp fuse ratings.

check it out and see if that's it, hope that might help

Did you have a specific question about this?

Ive found 100 amp replacements locally at any auto parts store which work fine, but you might want to pick up the 120 just to stay at oem spec.

If you haven't already, you're probably going to have to take the whole battery terminal apart that is on the end of the factory wire, because that fuse is usually screwed in from underneath.

yeah visit the local auto parts store and go from there, i was under the impression that this was in your power wire to the amp, no wonder it did not make sence how it blew

Get the fuse out and take it to a parts store, they'll find you the part you need.

Sorry for the confusion, it was not just the fuse i had to replace but the whole darn terminal. It has several built in fuses and when one pops you have to take it out and replace it....more money for Nissan i guess. but i did get it the morning and all is fine. By the way you can only get the piece from the dealership. I know what fuses are and i am pretty good at electronics as far as a consumer is concerned. but i didn't do this thread any justice because of the lack of information..i was frustrated. Thanks for your help though!!

Keep Krusin,
Chef

I was almost certain you can purchase individual links...unless you melted the terminal or something.

How much did it run you? P+L?
