New all round or just speaker?!

I'm changing my dash lights to red LED's real soon so it sparked a question. I need to do some new speakers in my max, my tweeters are blown and front speakers are going. Since I'm changing to red interior I really didnt want to go aftermarket on the hu because you cant find too many nice hu's with red lights.

1. Should I get components or just speakers and new tweeters?

2. Also want to know if I should change all speakers at once (rears still sound good)?

3. Anyone changed speakers and left the Bose hu?

Thanks for the input.

Many people add amps/speakers to Bose HU. If you're going red LED, eclipse makes some models that change color, and I think the CD3000 is orange, which
should match real well.

I wanted to stick with red. So it seems like I'm gonna do new speakers and if I find a nice hu then I'll change it later. What are the suggestions with speakers? Components will need a new amp?

Dont have money now. I dont care about the group deal really. I just want to know if i'd need an amp for componenets. If so...dont really want to bother. Am I still gonna need one to replace the tweeters in my car now?

If you have bose you can't replace the speakers without adding external amplification or getting an aftermarket head unit too.

Ok I guess I never understood why I needed extra amplification if I was replacing the speakers. Seems weird to me. So is it going to be cheaper for me to buy components and an amp or everything seperate? What size amp do I need for running all new speakers?

depends on what speakers and how many you buy. what is your budget?

You dont "need" to have the amplification, although with Blose, you wont be happy with the results of just hooking them up and later resulting in no sound at all.

Additional to that, even with an aftermarket HU, its not primarily the power rating (HUs are severly overrated here) its the level of distortion. Most speaker manufacturers will tell you straight out do not run these with HU power.
