I thought alpine type rs were good speakers...big mistake..I put the 6.5 coaxil type rs all around, and powered them all with a alpine 50w x 4 amp....they don't handle bass worth crap....and I have been playing with the bass eq and gains for about 2 weeks now....only reason i bought them was because I work at best buy at got them for 77 a pair... Rainbows better than alpine? I haven't heard of Rainbows before...so Im kinda leary....but then again they are from a german company..most german companies make kick *** audio stuff..

Much higher price? I would say $220 for SL's is a VERY competitive price. BB or CC have infinity or similar0 component sets for the same price.

Ya I just meant that it makes the desicion harder when you can get the lower end stuff for dirt cheap cause the jump in price seems unnessasary because of the amount of margin in car audio (at least the stuff at BB)

But agian I decided along time ago that it would be well worth it to take the step up and do it right the first time

For some stuff you feel like that after you buy it. With the good stuff it's a differents story.
