well the speaker box only has one set of speaker inputs, so im guessing they wired 2 8 ohm subs in parallel to get 4ohm, so i would need something that gave 400Wx1 @ 4 ohms. correct? also i would prefer to buy it in a store with some kind of warranty and not from people online. i have done some reasearch and it looks like this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-NgChccl...20&I=489AP1200 might be a good amp for my subs. what do you all think?

yea im positive its 4 ohm because the book that came with it said so. and i know profile isnt all that great. but what else can i get that pushes that many watts for that price? and at least all the reviews were good. is profile really that bad?

Yeah it's a 400x1 @4ohm amp, I was just figuring roughly what it would put out wired 8ohm.. I was thinking if you were to wire them both in series then parallel to the amp you would get 200watts to both subs @4ohms right? This is with the amp bridged.
Oh i forgot profile amps have a 3yr. warranty, that's impressive i guess.

So, finally got everything connected and tuned. Only listened for about 15 minutes or so, but for those 15 minutes I was smiling non-stop . Midbass is nice, vocals are natural and warm, and the highs are defined without being harsh. I have the tweeters at +3 dB on the crossovers, (you can have it at 0 dB, +3 dB, -3 dB, or -6 dB.) I have the gains set so that they are receiving 100 watts per side. I will give a better review at the end of today when I have obtained more listening time, but so far, it's money well spent!
