no base in coaxial speakers?
i have the kicker ds690 coaxial speakers in a mazda protege. I hooked it up to this HU http://cgi.ebay.com/PANASONIC-CQ-C73...QQcmdZViewItem but it doesnt put out any bass sounds. I see the cone move, but no base. I dont know if it is 100% sealed, but its pretty close. do i need an amp to power it? or anybody know whats going on? btw, its same size as stock. thanks for any input.

+1, this is what Im thinking the problem is. Although the HPF could be the issues, Im leaning more towards the wiring.

thanks for the response. ill check the wiring tomorrow. ill also check the hpf also, however, the front speakers are stock speakers and they're providing all the bass, while the rear kickers provide the majority of the treble.

Elvito Do you have subs up front then?
Lows can come from anywhere. Lows are non-directional sound, and I agree that mids/highs should be up front. Low end can come from anywhere.
In reality lows shouldn't come from any front or rear speakers only subwoofers.

Um the delay is REALLY short, but there is one depending on the factory controls. I'm going to mess with it a little bit this evening, I'll report back what I find. I assume the factory switch is variable so I'm going to have to retry without pushing the puttons in ALL the way because if I do that then it may be a little more responsive, will let you know tonight or tommorow.

i checked the wires, and its match up right. - is connected with the minus and + is connected with the plus. is there any other possibilities? btw, the hpf is off.
i know the Hu is wired up right, because the stock speakers worked and bass came out.

What in the world would make you think this??

really?? Cause when I had components, I had to turn down the bass on the head unit all the way cause when I pumped the volume up high, the speakers couldn't handle bass at all. But with the coxials I have now, I dont' have to turn the bass down cause even at high volume, the bass doesn't distort. The only thing I don't like about the coaxials is that I have to turn down the trebble all the way cause at high volume, they sound really shrill.

Sorry sir, Ill have to pass. Both manufacturers frown upon me doing that. If its not bought authorized they dont want me associated with it. Not to mention theres always a good chance that theyre counterfeit products.

I have no problem installing either of them IF you buy them from either a local dealer or from me. Doesnt matter either way, but I will request to see a valid sales receipt prior to anything else.
Neither manufacturer would like to see me get my hands dirty with that internet stuff.
Dyn is very strict with that stuff, as is Audison/Orca design. Although theyve already been copied with counterfeits.
