5th Gen stereo install kit

I'm planning on getting the Alpine CDA-9857 and was wondering what you guys were using for an install kit. Is the one that's included in the Crutchfield package decent?

I have a 2003 SE Titanium Edition so I'm concerned with it matching the Titanium-accented center console. Has anyone painted one of these install kits?

Thanks,
phong

I am in the process of installing the 9857 in my 2k. The kit from crutchfield is ok. The color does't match with the rest of the plastics in the car. I purchased the plastics for a Maxima with a non bose system.

It's hard to find a dash that will match with the titanium. Although I haven't seen it verified, you may want to try to find the trim from a TE WITH navi, it may fit, and the titanium will match. An org member by the name of burnurass will be swapping with his cousin seeing if this trim does indeed fit...

The kit I got free from Crutchfield was pretty bad IMO. It's shiny black, and textured, that doesn't come close to matching. Plus the lines along the side don't match up well from top to bottom and it didn't fit well at the edge near the vent and HVAC control panel.

That sucks to find out after I already ordered everything. Oh well, it was "free" with the premium I paid by getting it from Crutchfield. If I can't find a nicer kit, I'll try to paint it.

This kit here looks pretty decent. Anyone know who makes it?

Nissan makes that kit. It's the GXE kit. $85
