i posted this in the genral forums too then i found this forum...

my girls car has an aftermarket alarm...not sure wut kind but its the one that chirps twice when u unlock it...somehow the alarm got disabled and now when u push lock/unlock the doors only open/close the alarm dosent come on...also the red l.e.d light that usally blinks just stays a solid red now...anyone have any ideas....thanks

Sounds like its in Valet mode. If its a DEI product...open a door, then press Lock then Unlock then Lock again. Light should go out and functions back to normal.
