the bass will definately overpower your other speakers. but for two subs, box, and an amp for 150...that's not too bad. why is he selling it though?

that last statement worries me. I honestly wouldn't buy the setup unless the amp put out good power in which case I could justify 150 for a nice amp.

Or should i offer him 60 - 75 for the amp and then buy new subs? What would be a good kind for under 350?

they overheat because people who are using them more than likely did NOT tune it right

Could you please explain the bolded comment? What sort of authority do you have to say that all kenwood amps (in general) overheat very quickly? Just because it is kenwood it will overheat? I highly doubt that, in fact, I think the overheating is probably due to a wiring or compatibility issue, made by you, or whoever the installer is.

well i guess my amp is not tuned ... but the wiring is right !!!! but i do not know, like i live in texas .. and usually, the weather gets up to like 100-110 humids not included and i tried to put my chair up so it can get as much air as it can get, cause my amp is right under my passager seat so i do not know ... and i have this kenwood amp http://www.kenwoodusa.com/products/L...k3=155&pr=2019
when i ever i turn on my sub max, with the volume 20 on a highway, it will overheat in approximately 15 mins so yeah

i'm in houston, and it gets plenty hot here as well. but all the amps i've owned NEVER overheated on me. just allow enough room for heat to disperse and the amp adjusted properly...it shouldn't overheat.
