Pioneer AVIC-Z1 has anyone put this in their maxima yet?

I'm looking to get this in the summer but i was wonder where it would be placed
Is this the best out there? I'm lookin for navigation, dvd, and cd player.
i dont got a bose system so i think ima upgrade speakers and subs if i get this
feed back please

That thing looks pretty sweet.... navigation using a hard drive must fly compared to an optical drive. Pioneer must have smartened up and realized just how stupid the N1 is, to not be able to listen to cd's while navigating.

You clearly never had an N1. It holds up to 64 mbs of memory navigation so you put the disc in, set your route, take it out and put in your music, or video for that matter and are on your way.

Clearly I haven't, because I did my research beforehand and knew I couldn't live with that shortcoming. I can't imagine fumbling around and scratching up nav discs while driving... If I decide to add another destination to my route, I repeat all that disc-swapping... again? With dedicated drives, I don't even know what my nav discs look like. Haven't touched them since the cars were new. Sorry, it just seems such a common sense feature to have.

But I digress...

One day soon we'll be seeing nav screens resembling Google Earth, with 3D acceleration and decent frame-rates...
