Bose HU causing bass to suck????!!??!?!?!?

ok ive heard that if u have stock bose and aftermarket amp/subs that u lose voltage as opposed to having an aftermarket HU

stock Bose HU = less than 1 volt of power or something
aftermarket HU = more than 5 volts

anyone have anything to say or anything knowledgeable about this?

kthnx..

what spig had to say=

aceofbas S03: man i suck with words do u understand what i am trying to find out info for
aceofbas S03: ?
Som Epsychog Uy: yeah you are trying to see if the quality, loudness, voltage or whatever is decreased by using the bose instead of an aftermarket HU

The Bose unit probably would limit the potential of the amps and subs, yes. In terms of Bose speakers, though, I'm convinced I actually LOST some bass from them with an aftermarket headunit compared to the Bose unit (but picked up quality and options).

Um depends on HOW you're getting the signal. Yes the output from the bose will be low, but not too low to provide signal to an amplifier.
