Trunk dampner how much?

I'm about to order some second skin damplifier for the rear deck, and trunk lid and was wondering about how much would do it? Would the 20sq ft. be enough? Sorry if this is posted already

I heard this is the best stuff for heat, performance, etc.......

It depends. 20 should do the lid and rear deck, but you might as well go for the 50 ft. off ebay so you can have some left over for other areas and places where you may need to double up. plus after you do those two places, you may have to do it in other spots because the air is moving to different spots. Now that Ive done my trunk, I can feel tremendous air coming out of my window cracks when they are rolled down. feels like A/C!
good luck, I used Fatmat. It is good.

Uh how does dampening cause the air to move in different directions? Unless of course you sealed off the rear deck or something....

Gotcha, so your advice to him only applies if he does what you did.

You should have ordered 80.

Trunklid - 20sqft to hit it internally and the 'chassis'. Spray foam for the internal channels

Rear deck - 20 sqft. for 2 layers on top, 1 layer underneath

Trunk - 40 sqft for a trunk deadening.

...in all honesty, you could likley get away with just hitting the trunklid and rear deck.

That was my intentions to just do the trunklid and rear deck.... Main source of my rattles and vibrations are those two... I don't see any need and going all out at this time with a mild system
