Some updated pics of the Max install

Heres a bezel wrapped in faux suede Don and I worked on last minute together sat night before an ECA meet on Sun, thanks for wraping it for me Don!. Not really happy with the fitment all around- my fault , I didnt come through with hardboard so we put it together with a few pieces of scrap Don had in the shop, but I cant lie It'll stay in my car for a while until I have time to re-do it. It was something just to clean up the trunk for the meet. Its not screwed/capped into place, hence it doesnt show as good as it actually does in reality because its not pressed/100% snug against the box(as you can tell by the 3rd pic)- but I'm not drilling into my box knowing I'll be making another piece eventually. Overall it doesnt look bad, and its the look I'm going for. Simple, clean and everyday family vehicle friendly.

Nilesh spent some good time in my car yesterday, perhaps he can chime in on his thoughts of the system and what he thought about the new subs.

Looks good Manny, but I already saw it in person

System sounds good...nothing but great reproduction of sound. You can really tell the quality of each component. The subs blended well with the frontstage. We really didn't get on them, but I'm sure they can pound.

When I metered them the first day i was using a 'Bass Trip' CD that i've had since maybe 5-6 yrs ago...they handle the lows just fine, just dont exxagerate it in good recordings like some subs I've used. It gets down when the signal asks for it, yet its polite, transparent and flat when it has to be.

Thanks guys. There will be limited activity for me the rest of the year. Hoping to score some black door panels to move my tweeters forward into the dash- although not # 1 priority. The processor is the last big nut I have to spring for , and I'm hoping my drivers outlive my car at this point...hehe.

Nah, I'll just sit back... chill ....and feed my boredom with your progression...

Considering how satisfied I am now, and the car is NOT even tuned, EQ'd or pathlengths differences addressed yet....its pretty scary of the potential it has with the right processor and an RTA available-That should keep me busy for a good long time.

i think Dan was being sarcastic

those rainbow speakers utilize paper cones, and are treated to stop mother nature's negative effects on it. but i was wondering how well do they hold up against crazy amounts of humidity?

I'll let you know by July, when its so humid and hot here you can hadly breathe hehe...not worried about it, specially with the nice warranty on these.

Its a 'natural fiber' cone actually...who knows could be some hemp

yes, gotta love the warranty.

it gets pretty damn humid down here as well during the summer...it literally feels like you're walking in a sauna.

not too worried about the SLC's absorbing the moisture, just curious.
