STILL NOTHING.

Oh, well...whatever, I'm gonna go to bed.

Anyone with an Alpine HU & Siruis, I should just be using the Aux input, right? Should the display face read anything different? Or just 'AUX'?

You should leave it on until it starts playing. It should have been on once you clicked "ok" online.

noob

BAH!!!! I'm gonna kill someone if I have to rip everything apart to check the ******* leads. Why the hell didn't they put a $0.10 LED in there to indicate status?!

Did you get your online account login? You could see if that works. If it doesn at least you know your account is activated.

Does your alpine HU have Aux RCA ins? My POS doesn't. Just has gdamn AI net aux in, but I'm using that for processor control. Ran RCA's back to the processor, which has RCA ins and for some odd reason, it doesn't work on the RCA in's on my processor either. Thanks Alpine. I've given up for now, but I enjoy Sirius at home and at work via computer login. .

PS...I tested my sirius unit elsewhere, and that's NOT the problem.

I'm using the AInet for satellite and processor, but I got the add on unit SIR-ALP1 and it has a pass through in/out built into it.

As for activation, I just plug it all in wired it up, and it automatically tuned in to .. 184 is it? the "setup chanell anyway.. left it on, got online, filled out the info and it was wworking by the time I walked back downstairs to the car.

Well, 12 hours or so later, and still no signal. GRRRRRR. I should just be using the Aux setting on the HU, right? And it should just be ready to go?

You have to plug it into the AInet and then go to fm and press band until it either says XM or Sirius... Thats at least how mine worked... I did get a bad tuner the first time so that could have happend to you...

EDIT: what tuner are you using?

Should atleast get their setup channel if you haven't even gotten the subscription going. If not receiving that, seems like you aren't getting a signal.

Well, found the problem, and that is I'm a [hucking idiot.

I have the sirius unit and my dvd player right beneath my passenger seat. I hooked this up around 11:30pm last night, and didn't see which power cable I put into the unit. Well, in the light of day after work, it occured to me that the dvd player and the sirius tuner have IDENTICAL POWER HARNESSES.

SIRIUSLY PWN3D.

I mounted my mini antenna on my 3rd brake light. beware that some heavily wooded roads, and underpasses will interrupt your signal ftl.
