Big n yellow subs coming my way!

Just snagged a pair of IDW 15's, to be hanging on my rear deck this summer!

Prolly now go with the theme and get some yellow cold cathodes for the amp rack while I'm at it.

Those kind of remind me of my old school Lanzar competition subs. I had two of them in my 77 Buick LeSabre. This was back in 1990 or so . Good times.....

Wooo 15's on the rear deck, SICK! Def gonna end pics of the build up!!! What are you planning on doing to get them baffled and to make the rear deck strong enough to hold them?

Shouldn't be too tough. I have two pieces left of the Marine grade plywood I used to make my IB ballfes now. Heck, I could prolly use the wood I'm using as a baffle now. Anyway, I'll start with wood to connect to the rear deck to, and glass 15" rings to them, hopefully in a way that doens't look too unnatural, or at least looks cool in some way. I can use the same holes I already have drilled, and I'll prolly "open up" my rear deck a lil while the baffles off.

The rear deck, when you use the double layered metalthat goes around it, is more than enough to hold them. I don't think these things are heavier than my IDMAX's.

Ya, the mags are not ginormous, and they don't look like they'd be too heavy with all the wood etc.

I'm anxious for pics of the re-do!!

They wouldn't fit "flat" on the rear deck the the Max's do...but with a little fiberglass, I can position them with a little tilt. Technically, they'll be "IB", not freeair, but we're probrably thinking about the same thing. I'll definately take pics when i do it.

Those things are going in/on the deck?? Holy shnikes. You better have about 30lbs of sound deadening to go along with it.

Wood will be attached to the deck (inside and the thicker outsides part of the "underdeck area). "Fiberglassed" to that wood will be two baffles. It's already pretty well deadened. Shouldn't be too hard until the "finishing" of it. I may just go carpet
