It looks like American top of the line Eclipse in Japan is the lowest model. Some of those units are sick, even navigation shows actual buildings and trees, but I guess it depends on the actual software.

Any clues when new models are coming in?

Bit of a catch 22 there. If we can't buy them, how can we generate any demand? =(

Its a generalization. Mnaufacturers poll the public by what they will/will not buy. Its sad but true. Hence the reason Denon is no longer available for mobile audio.

Not to mention the added incurred costs such as marketing and others that it takes to diffuse technology over to us. When an innovation is introduced, there is a certain amount of adoption, and process of adoption that takes place. It always originates at the manuf (Japan) and takes time to make its trail over.

What it all comes down to is that Don needs to start his own brand of high quality mobile audio products. Org members get a 75% discount...

The swastika is a holy symbol in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism
The word swastika is derived from the Sanskrit svastika (in Devanagari, स्वस्तिक), meaning any lucky or auspicious object, and in particular a mark made on persons and things to denote good luck.

Don hit the nail on the head. It's the stupid American Public that has bought into the chrome bling thing, fancy looks, and not really soundand also into "bargain" music as a whole. People here have to sell what sells. Most people arent' willing to spend big money on a head unit or amp. Apparently people in Japan are....

Heres a site that exports Japanese stuff here to the US. Tons of good stuff you can't find in stores here. enjoy...

http://www.audiocubes.com/category/Car+Audio.html

hmmm whatever a swastica means in other cultures....i think i'll pass on that. I know what it means to my culture.
