Quite a turnaround...now

Hu> greater than the value of the car

It is a very nice deck. So nice that people would only put it in a trailer queen.

no, the head unit by itself won't be worth more than my car. But the whole system will be.

What's the rest of the system consist of? Hopefully worthy of such a nice HU. You installing? take pics!!! That HU costs nearly as much as my whole system!

Yeah I love the stockish look of the Naks, and also the Denon's.
A lot of people who want the SQ no frills deck with the stock look are drueling over the Denon's DCT 1's in black. Scott Buwalda found the last ones on earth (not being made anymore) and is selling them here in the US. Pricey though....

Steve, I actually considered the DCT, but its not a continued market with Denon, so not something I could offer customers. So I went with the Nak.

BTW..Scott didnt find the last ones. I found a few as well with a lil help from a buddy.

Elvito...that is SO not mine I wish. Beautiful unit.

Don you have some? I think all of Scotts are gone. YOu could prolly hold on to them and sell them at very inflated prices. You know...supply /demand and all. I heard Denon was on it's way to totally exiting the car audio market?

Man I'd love to have one of those, but dont' think it's worth the money unless your car/install is just all that.

I don't think there's anyone on this forum that has gotten to do a blind A/B test on a system worthy of showing the differences between two nice HU's. Personally, given the choice, I'd take the Denon but would certainly be thrilled to have either considering the POS head unit I currently have.

Donno much about that Nak Head unit, but I know the 45 z used to have major reliability issues. That was a few years back so I'm sure they've taken care of that, especially on their higher end HU's like the one your getting. Never heard a bad thing about a denon HU except that they're pricey and hard to come by. I breifly had one of the Rockford Fosgate HU's made by Denon that were on sale super cheap. Picked one up on sale, never installed it, and ended up selling it for liketwice what I paid for it, and now wish I had kept it.
