Front speaker adapter plate thickness for 5.5 gen Maxima??
Front speaker adapter plate thickness for 5.5 gen Maxima??
I installed a Sony CDX-GT300 with a PAC SWI-PS steering control interface this evening. Works great and looks real clean.
I will be installing Infinity 6012i 6.5" reference series speakers in the doors. They actually came with foam insulating tape and plastic adapter plates for 6.75" openings. They are about 1/4" thick. Is this thick enough to clear the window on the front (& rear) doors?
I also bought a 2'x4' 3/4" thick MDF board from Home Depot. So if the 1/4" plastic adapters arent thick enough, I already have this ready to be cut. If anything, the plastic plates will come in handy as templates for the wood.
Appreciate the help. My factory non-Bose unit had 2 blown speakers and sounded like ****, so gave me a reason to upgrade.
