i just got a memphis amp and speakers put in my car today, and tonight all of a sudden my car just randomly shuts off as i was about to accelerate, this has never happened before, im thinking it is because of the amp, do i need a cap; or even a better battery, what u guys think??

 

the amp won't make the car just shutoff. A loose battery cable may though.

 

doubtful that it has anything to do with the amp, just a coinsidence (sp?). Did you install the system yourself or did a shop do it for you?

 

a shop did it for me, it kinda weird because it has never done this b4.

 

Did you check the battery cables?!

 

after checking terminals, take it back to the shop, it seems a little odd that thta starts happening right after a system install, it was probably something they did

 

Or the problem is completely unrelated
