hey. i'm sure many 4th geners with big systems have had this problem before where their trunk lid (the verticle part that says "maxima") rattles enormously when the bass hits. it sounds like the trunk lid is made up of 2 pieces of flimsy metal with about an inch of space between them so when the bass hits all you can hear from the outside back of the car is horrible rattle. i have put many layers of dynamat on the inside of the trunk lid and put this stuff called "poly-fill" (which is like cotton) all inside in between the 2 pieces of metal via those little holes on our trunk lid. both those things definetly helped somewhat, but only about 40%. there is still a large amount of rattle. so my question is: has anyone found a way to virtually eliminate the rattle i'm referring to? if not, then what would be the best thing to help it even more. the trunk lid itself feels very flimsy and lightweight also. i kinda wish it was heavier and more sturdy feeling too. any ideas? thanks

All I did was use 2 18"x24" sheets of stinger roadkill on my trunk lid and it was almost completely eliminated. No poly fill, no spray foam.

Try some stinger road kill. It is better than dinamat I've heard
