How will this sound?

Okay, well I found someone whos selling a sub and amp locally. The sub is a RE SE - Resonated Engineering - and the Amp is an Hifonics BX2005D. How do you think this will pair up and how are the qualities of these 2 products. Please let me know - Thankss

They are decent entry level subs from RE. I would not use the Hifonics amps. They have a tendancy to go poof. I have personally seen 3 Goliaths and 1 Brutus cook themselves, and at little to no volume.

Is the equipment used? Why is he selling it?

There's so many of those hifonics amps out there. They are not the best, they are not the worst. If he's selling it all for $100 I'd buy it but anticipate possibly buying a new amp not too soon after that.
