installing pac adapter

I bought a oemnis pac adapter that is just plug and play. im just not sure where to plug so i can play. is it possible to just plug it in under the rear deck? i can plug in the wire that run to the amp into the unit, but then what is going to the amp? basically, is there any way to install without taking out the factory unit?

free bump, I'm about to do an install like this as well ... I think we have to take out the factory stereo, but I cannot find a writeup as to how to do that.

Ok... Found this...

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....&highlight=pac

It says just plug the OEM1 into the car harness then plug the radio harness into the PAC OEM-1. Sounds simple enough.

You're still going to have to take apart the dash to get behind the radio though.

You have to take apart the dash and remove the ISO bracket with the radio, climate control etc... That allows access to the rear of the radio and the factory harness.

Thanks to other members on the org, I've started getting behind my stereo even though I don't even have all my components yet. Here is what I've done so far and that should get you to where you need to be to install your adapter.
