2000 Maxima Bose stereo in my 4th Gen?

Right now my stereo is total garbage (aftermarket HU + bose speakers) and it sounds terrible, i wanna go back to stock.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/NISSAN-INFINITI-M...QQcmdZViewItem

Will this stereo that's apparently from a 2000 Maxima fit in my '96? It appears to me like it would, but i figured i'd ask before i bought it.

you could never pay me enough $ to put anything bose back into a car. invest the $ into some front speakers instead.

That would work and it is not out of a 2k maxima. The 2k setup was much different.

Just buy an aftermarket amp and some components so u can realize the true potential of the deck.

Actually, what HU do you have? And how is it wired to the bose?

Welp.... I would ditch the JVC and get a better HU or ditch the bose speakers and amp some speakers.

I thought of installing new speakers, but i didn't really like the thought of having to rewire the rear speakers.

I assumed that i would have to rewire the speakers; last time i had the door panel off it was just a big cluster**** of wires running into the amp/speaker.

Am i able to just pull out the positive and negative wires for each speaker and use them?

^ My thoughts exactly while reading the thread title. Bose, better audio through marketing, bleh.

Yeah you just use the + -... I believe they sell connectors that plug into them and leave plain wires on the otherend so no cutting at all.

Huh? The bose has wires that send signal all the way to the amps, you'll have to find out which wires are the signal wires then you can use those as your speaker wire.

Any idea where i could purchase one of these? Cutting the wires and figuring out which ones are which wouldn't be a big deal, but this sounds like a lot easier and cleaner alternative.

That would either be a pac adapter or a scoshe AM radio to bose converter. Useless to spend the money when you can do the same thing.

There is no adapter made to just plug into the bose plug and connect to speakers that I know of.
