Need help with relay

I am trying to wire a relay to cut power to my Bose amp when my Parrot CK3100 receives a call. It has a mute wire that throws a negative when the call comes in. I have connected the Parrot to the speakers after the amp, so when the call is active it should stop the audio system from using the speakers and let the Parrot take over. If this works, it will be a great completely integrated solution and I will post a write-up. Unfortunately, I've never done a relay before and so I'm stuck right now.

Should be as follows, if I understand correctly what you are trying to do.

85-constant 12v
86-negative mute wire from Parrot
87-car's side of Bose system power wire
30-amp's side of Bose system power wire
87a-empty

Theres plenty of different ways to do this, not only for the relay wiring itself but also for what wires you want to use, i.e. the amp turn on wire, or the amp's power itself, depending on what parts of the car you have apart or whats easier for what your trying to do.

Those both will help you even more.

Thanks for the info. I'm still playing with it a little, but I think I have it figured out. I used the turn-on lead instead of the power wire and it kept popping when switching over, I will try the power wire tomorrow and see if it works better.
