The XCRS is more for installers than users, it's smaller.

(I've got the Viper 791, to answer the initial question.)

Actually the Cliffords remote performs a bit better in the sense the buttons are a bit more recessed, avoiding accidental pressing. Also the Cliffords have a digital shock sensor, rather than the generic 504Ds that are standard with the Vipers and Pythons.

I see you've taken the initiative to change your post to make it sound like English.

However, I decided to come back to this post after a full night's rest, just in case I missed something last night at ~2am when I previously read it.

"topacilly"

1. Toe-pass-illy? Unless Webster decided to add a new word to the dictionary (and I know they haven't, I read the article sometime in the past month indicating the words they added, google (as a verb) being one of them), then this is not even close to anything that makes sense

2. Were you going for topically? Like a topical ointment? This still doesn't make sense in the context of your question regarding cost of getting a Viper installed.

Now, like I said previously, if the word you were going for was "typically" then I absolutely APPLAUD your phonetic abilities. Not only have you been able to completely stump someone who considers themself relatively fluent in the English language, but you were so off-base with your word creation that I *may* have lost ~20 minutes of sleep trying to figure you out when I first got into bed last night.

I salute you.

PS. even your correction is wrong.
For everyone that understands English, "How much *DOES* it cost on avg to get the Viper 791 installed?" is probably what he was going for.

Don's price on a Clifford 3.5/Viper 791 is $449 installed (last I knew, the price could have changed since). Give him a call at 732-572-1969.

I'm curious what the $449 includes, as I know there are ALOT of addon prices. I've heard reports of up to $1000 with all the possible options.

For me, I need/want:
remote start
one touch window up/down
gps locator, in case it's ever stolen
2 way remote

I'm hoping I can get all that for a reasonable price, but I don't know of any shops in my area that won't bend me over on the price. =/

Remote start is included
Window modules are not unless you're a 5.5 gen
GPS, nope
2 way remote, yes.

Just called another shop out here and with GPS, the whole system would be $1700-2000. Sweet Jesus. Without GPS (remote start, window modules, 2 way remote) was $1000. He said the window modules alone were about $300 because of install time. Wow. Is this legit, or are they padding the price?

Sounds to be normal retail. Maybe a bit above. I wouldnt say padded, but rather full price with no breaks at all.

General prices would be:
Alarm/remote start $600 range
556U bypass..$80 range
530T windows..$200 PER PAIR
GPS210..$700 range

Totalling somewhere in the $1800 vicinity. The install time Is in fact quite extensive for the window modules as 4 wires need to go into each door..So there is a bit of labor involved.

Thanks for the info. I kept calling around and finally found a place that normally does installs for dealerships and he quoted me $595 for the Viper 791 with front/rear window modules. I think I'm gonna jump on it. He mentioned that he needs my spare key to do the install because of the chip in the key. Is that normal?

Thats a VERY low price. I would certainly check for hidden costs as well as him being an Authorized dealer. If both check out...Go for it !

Yes that is normal.

IM RUNNING BONE STOCK!! for right now

im looking at the python 1090, BUT THE SHOP only does the 990 installs?

is the only difference between the two the fact that one is a color screen and the other is NOT?
The reason i ask is that a reputable place here in baltimore is gonna do the install and they have the one way alarm system by python, and then they have the 2way color by python...But its the one right below the Python 1090

I have the Clifford Concept 450 installed a few years ago. Since then I have added a few more sensors, BlackJax5, IntelliStart, and DEI 516L programmable voice system.

I "had" the Viper 791 installed on my '05 Max but the shop hooked it up wrong and it ruined a module... Dealership is charging me $1000+ for the repairs (just found out this morning, by the way).
