Viper 791XV Remote Starter problem

I purchased an alarm kit off ebay about a year ago and took it in to a shop to get installed. Everything was hooked up correctly except they couldn't get the programming correct for the remote starter.

the tech suggested that i buy some seperate module to help with this but i have no idea what it was they were referring to and the guy that worked on my car no longer works at that shop.

does anyone know what device they were referring to or what i need to do in order to get the remote starter working? thanks.

also, i'm in the san antonio/new braunfels area if anyone can suggest a good shop to take it to.

That's your first problem.

Are you talking about the 556u immobilizer bypass? Yea, you sort of need that.....

Also, if your tech didn't know what it was, find another tech.
