Question about factory Bose

My fiance just picked up a 99 infinity G20t (red/5spd) And I would like to put a factory Bose back in but just curios as to the set up, is it a component system like the maximas? if so are the units interchangable the stock model number for the g20 is PN-2261F if that helps at all. Ill post this on g20.net also just curious, and trying to get as much info as possible maybe someone could gimme the model number for a 99 maxima bose. Thanx.

Your fiance got a G20...does it have a radio? non-Bose I assume? and you want to make it Bose?

and you want to use your Maxima Bose HU?

Sorry if that was unclear, the G20 has an aftermarket HU, It had a Bose factory and I want to put another Bose in it, The model number for the factory Bose system on the G20 is PN-2261F. I sold my maxima about a month ago or i would check myself, I basically want to know what the model number is from the stock bose on a 99 max. It seems easier to find bose headunits on this forum than anywhere else. thx

The wiring harness will be the same in the G20 dash as the Max. But why in the world would you want Bose back in it? Your going backwards...

Its one of those Premiers (pioneer knockoff), It just sounds horrible, The bose in my max was a decent sound i would just assume to go back to that, I dont think anything was done with the speakers/post amp setup, i have yet to look.

Premier is not a Pioneer knockoff, it is the high end of pioneer that comes with extended warrrantees. But if you hate it so much I'll gladly pay shipping for you to send it to me.

It is probably just the speakers that sound bad. replacing them would probably be more benificial than getting a stock bose put in. Bose is alright, but they still sound a little muddy.

I have an old bose unit that currently only plays radio stations, if you want to send me the premier unit since u hate it anyways i'll send u this unit and u can tinker with it then determine if it works. THe part number will be different than the one the g20 has because there were 3 diff bose units used in the 4th gens and this is the 2nd gen of those units.
